Coming Soon: Outpatient Programs

Whether you’re stepping down from inpatient treatment or need more support than traditional outpatient therapy, our outpatient programs will offer evidence-based treatment in a safe, therapeutic environment.

University Behavioral Health Center Adult Services

Hybrid Outpatient Programs for Co-Occurring Disorders (Ages 18+)

At University Behavioral Center, we understand that healing from both mental health challenges and substance use disorders requires an integrated, person-centered approach. Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) will provide structured outpatient care designed to support adults (18+) on their path to recovery — without requiring overnight stays.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): Intensive Day Treatment with Clinical Support

Our PHP is the highest level of outpatient care we will offer. It will provide a full-day schedule of therapeutic services while allowing participants to return home in the evenings.

Key Features of PHP

  • Multidisciplinary care team (licensed therapists, medical providers, psychiatrists)
  • Individual therapy, group therapy and psychoeducation
  • Medication management and psychiatric evaluation
  • Trauma-informed care and relapse prevention
  • Support for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
  • Weekly family support sessions and care coordination

Program Schedule

Monday–Friday | 5–6 hours per day
Ideal for individuals who need structure and clinical support during the day but have a safe and supportive home environment in the evenings.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): Flexible Recovery with Continued Support

Our IOP is a step-down level of care from PHP or a direct entry point for individuals who need more support than weekly therapy but do not require full-day treatment.

Key Features of IOP

  • Group therapy focused on skill-building, processing and relapse prevention
  • Individual therapy sessions tailored to your recovery goals
  • Dual diagnosis support for mental health and substance use
  • Holistic approaches including mindfulness, coping skills and life planning
  • Coordination with outside providers and referrals for community resources

Program Schedule

Flexible weekday options | 3–4 days per week | 3 hours per day
IOP offers the ability to maintain daily responsibilities — such as work, school or family — while still receiving comprehensive clinical care.
